Bio Loop carpet is an eco friendly carpet designed to biodegrade efficiently, when sent to land fill. Bio Loop carpet is a great option for those who want to leave a minimal impact on the planet, yet enhance their home with a stylish and comfortable flooring product.
- Bioloop Enhancement – Bioloop integrates an organic enhancer into the carpet fibres – comprising 80% of the product – during manufacturing, creating an eco-friendlky carpet that maintains exceptional style, quality, and comfort.
- Biologically Active Landfills – New Zealand landfills are biologically active, providing a controlled environment that promotes the breakdown of organic materials. Bioloop-enhanced synthetic materials biodegrade significantly faster than conventional synthetic fibres.
- The Breakdown – When placed in a biologically active landfill, Bioloop generates a microbe coating known as biofilm on the surface of the carpet fibres. This biofilm signals other microbes to collaborate in breaking down polymer chains, significantly accelerating the decomposition process.
